Cafe Marseilles Ltd was founded by Ted and Sue Marsay in 1980.

They recognised that businesses throughout the Midlands were not fully catering for their staff and customer beverage requirements and decided it was time to address this situation.

Quickly realising that businesses did not want the expense of purchasing or renting drinks machines Ted deployed his engineering background and designed and manufactured two machines which were to go on and revolutionise the industry. As these machines were made 'in-house' Cafe Marseilles were able to supply them on a ‘free on loan’ basis. These two machines are still available ‘free on loan’ to this day although they have naturally undergone several styling improvements since then.

Due to the popularity of Cafe Marseilles ‘free on loan’ drinks machines Ted and Sue began receiving enquiries from entrepreneurs who wanted to become distributors for Cafe Marseilles. The progression into franchising became a natural step. As a result of this Cafe Marseilles machines and drinks are now supplied to most cities, towns and villages around the UK.

Ted and Sue recently handed over the reins to their two sons Ian and Paul who have continued to forward the company using the same proven methods of customer satisfaction. Indeed we are still one of the very few companies that will provide ‘free on loan’ equipment on a permanent trial basis.
